In my work I focus on helping people to Consciously create the life that they desire. For one person that might mean making a 6 figure income. For another, it could be about having more time with family and friends. For still another, it might have to do with good health and fitness. Regardless of what the desired life looks like, the common element in them all is a need for Freedom and Independence.
It is a basic human need to want to feel free to live as our heart desires. For some, freedom might come in the form of financial independence. They might be motivated by the desire to be free from the worry and stress that plague them when they don’t feel able to provide adequately for themselves and their families.
Others don’t see the point of having a lot of money if it means having to spend all of their waking hours working. For them freedom may mean being able to spend one’s free time with the people they love the most.
But what good is having money or time if poor health doesn’t allow you to enjoy them? For others, the key to living a good life is mostly about being free from pain or health concerns.
The point is, we all long for freedom and independence in our lives in one form or another.
Today, as we celebrate Independence Day here in America, I am feeling grateful to live in a country where I can go after whatever form of freedom I desire. In my pursuit of happiness, I not only get to visual the life of my dreams, I am free to go out and create it.
Wishing you a beautiful Independence Day! In the spirit of this day, may you choose to exercise your right to Consciously Create the Life that You Desire and Deserve!

My intention for 2008 has been to allow myself to receive abundance in all areas of my life. Prior to making this intention, I had been frustrated with my perception of my life that showed an apparent lack of results that were clearly incongruent with the energy I was putting forth to call abundance in. So for this year, my goal has been to focus on changing my perception about what abundance is and how it flows to me. (more…)

My one and only son has just turned 18.
This has come as a much bigger challenge for me than I would have ever imagined. For weeks now, I have been grappling (very unsuccessfully) with the idea of being the parent of an adult. I just can’t seem to get my head wrapped around this one. How can this be? Wasn’t it just yesterday that he was learning how to walk, tie his shoes and ride a bike? Where did the little boy go who used to love to play word games in the car and show me magic tricks? When did he stop wanting me to read him bedtime stories and tuck him into bed? When did he stop looking to me for guidance and start doing things on his own? At what point did he stop being a boy and change into a man? (more…)

Of the things with which I find myself challenged, dispersion of my energy is probably the most costly. Anybody who knows me will tell you that I have a lot of irons in the fire all the time. While on the one hand, this is something that I find very exciting because my mind is constantly being challenged, it also tends to result in my not using my time as effectively as I’d like.
On any given day, I tend to the details of a dozen or more projects. Much of the time, I am doing several things at once. I am the queen of multitasking. I can listen to a teleseminar on a webcast while answering emails, all the while keeping one eye on the meal that I’m cooking and another on the notes for the next class that I am preparing to teach. I would be lost without my agenda which at least gives me some time frames for where I need to be and when. Although I would like to be able to lay out the scope and sequence of some of the bigger projects that interest me, I tend to get bogged down in the minutia of what needs to be taken care of today. Of course, this might not be a problem if I didn’t have so many things going all at once, but because I’m doing so many new and exciting ventures that are pushing me to the next level, I wouldn’t know what to give up. In the past month, I have had the wonderful experience of teaching classes at the local Borders bookstores. Today, I taught one call Living Fearlessly based on the tools and strategies that I learned in my coaching certification with the Fearless Living Institute. I also teach a class called Manage Your Energy; Get Results. Between the two classes, I’ve taught a total of 7 times in the past 5 weeks.
Since I have been a high school French teacher for the past 16 years, it might seem that teaching these courses wouldn’t be much of a stretch for me, but actually it has really allowed me to step out of my comfort zone. Not only are these classes geared to a different audience (adults instead of adolescents), they are also focused on very different material than what I teach my high school students (manifestation tools versus French). For both of these reasons, this teaching experience is allowing me to grow in amazing ways. (more…)
