Meditation: Can technology really help?
Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008For well over a year now, I have been reaping the benefits of a daily meditation practice without dealing with the frustration of trying to empty my mind of all the incessant chatter that resides there. I wish I could say that I am evolved enough to be able to stay in an empty mind state for more than a half a second, but I’m afraid I would be lying if I made such a claim. It seems that I am incapable of stopping the noise for any length of time no matter how much time I spend on my meditation practice.
Although I have not given up trying to reach that state of grace, I am also grateful to have found a tool that helps me to achieve the effects of an advanced state of meditation without years of discipline and practice. Bill Harris and the Centerpointe Research Institute have come up with a sound technology that help you to “meditate like a Zen monk”. (more…)
